Title

DSI Position – NASA Armstrong Environmental Technician

Experience

Experience shall include collecting and preparing samples of liquids and solids from chemical research laboratories, industrial processes and any associated pollution control activities.  Individuals should have a comprehensive knowledge of waste management operations involving waste handling and preparation of waste for disposal and shall include data recording and maintaining related records.  Work performed shall include forklift and transfer pump operations.

Education

Individuals shall have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid driver’s license and HAZWOPER training required and experience in conducting field investigations to obtain data and samples needed for determining sources and methods in water, soil and waste management principles as applied to RCRA. Experience in conducting field tests to determine physical characteristics of solid and liquid materials and substances.
