Headline: DSI wins subcontract on $60 million project to build critical piece of NASA launch vehicle

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama (February X, 2014) – Davis Strategic Innovations, Inc. (DSI) – a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business headquartered in Huntsville – has been awarded a subcontract on a $60 million Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc., contract to design and manufacture the Launch Vehicle Stage Adapter (LVSA) for the Space Launch System (SLS) for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center.

The SLS is NASA’s next generation launch vehicle, designed to provide safe, affordable, and sustainable access to science and human exploration beyond the earth’s orbit. It will carry the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle – along with cargo, equipment, and science missions – into deep space.
