The orbit in the logo stands for DSI’s firm commitment to the Aerospace industry. We believe it is important the United States maintains its position as the world leader in Aerospace. In particular our commitment is focused on missile defense, military aviation, and space.
The globe represents DSI’s passionate commitment to support military that are often deployed around the world. We believe a strong military is important for the United States to protect itself, secure peace for others, and promote democracy. We support our military personnel who have given up rights and privileges and sometimes their lives for these purposes. We believe supporting the Department of Defense is the right thing to do to ensure military superiority.
The United States is centered on the globe representing DSI’s focused commitment to Homeland Security. In this age of terrorism and catastrophic natural disasters, we believe the nation needs multiple strong governmental agencies to protect our population. We are committed to support the Departments of Homeland Security, Agriculture, Transportation, Health and Human Services, and others in this effort of national protection, preparedness, and consequence management.
Our Guiding Principles:
The “I” in DSI stands for Integrity. DSI employees strive for unquestionable integrity in all dealings. There are three particular areas of integrity that DSI employees focus.
Vertical integrity – All dealings with our customers should build on unparalleled levels of trust. Our customers must know that we can be trusted to do the right thing at all times.
Horizontal integrity – The internal strength of DSI is built on trust among fellow employees. DSI employees should always treat fellow employees with mutual respect, sacrificial caring, and honest and kind treatment.
Personal integrity – We must deal honestly with ourselves. Either at the end of the day or the end of the contract, we must know that we have done what is right in business, with friends, and with family.
The “S” in DSI stands for Superior Quality and Shining Star. We strive to provide our customers a higher quality product than they expect. Additionally, our goal is to make our customer a Shining Star. By focusing on our customer’s success we become less concerned about ourselves and more focused on our customer. The motto “we succeed because of the success of our customers” fits well with our mindset. We provide superior, loyal, and sacrificial support so that our customers can shine above others. Our customer’s success means we have played a key role to protecting our nation and securing its position as a world leader.
The “D” in DSI stands for Development. There are three aspects of development that each DSI employee is encouraged to take advantage of to ensure success.
Company Development – All DSI employees are encouraged to learn more about DSI. Employees are encouraged to become conversant with our Passion and Guiding Principles in order to promote a positive and professional company image.
Professional Development – Each DSI employee is encouraged to renew themselves professionally by continuously learning and by interacting with other professionals.
Personal Development – Employees are encouraged to constantly renew themselves physically, spiritually, and socially so that their life will be complete. Personal emphasis in these 3 areas is important for the health and well-being of all employees. Employees are encouraged to make a special effort to have good relations with family, friends, and coworkers.
