DSI was awarded a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) subcontract to SAIC in support of the Software Engineering Directorates’ (SED) Center of Model-Based Acquisition and Technology (CoMBAT) team. The SED team of civil servants and contractors provides world-class system and software engineering life cycle management support to customers and warfighters. SED is a subordinate organization to U. S. Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), which is itself a subordinate organization to the Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) – the Army’s focal point for providing research, development, and engineering technology and services for aviation and missile platforms across the lifecycle.
