Guidance, Navigation, and Control Design Analysis (GN&C)

Provide support to NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, AL. Anticipated support to the following MSFC organizations:

    • Engineering Directorate
    • Flight Programs and Partnerships Office
    • Science and Technology Office
    • Space Launch System (SLS) Program Office
    • Future programs/projects and other MSFC offices with similar needs

Work as part of Government-led integrated GN&C design team. Help ensure coordination of GN&C algorithm development to meet system-level requirements; and the development and evaluation of integrated algorithm set. Work as primary liaison with Flight Computer software requirements team to ensure proper expression of GN&C algorithms as Flight Computer software requirements. Support Flight Computer software verification planning through design and development of test cases to ensure Flight Computer GN&C implementation is correct. Other:

Education and Experience Required

BS in engineering, math, or physics (MS preferred).

5-10 years of experience in guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) of aerospace vehicles. Ideal candidate has performed simulation of aerospace vehicle GN&C system performance; and developed and evaluated GN&C algorithms and their expression as operational software requirements.

  • Dynamics/Control Systems
  • Real-Time Simulation Development (C, C++, FORTRAN)
